Foliage by Romani Saccani
Foliage is a collection designed by Romani Saccani Architetti Associati. They are carpets inspired by the botanical world and the changing colors in the four seasons. The sinuous shape is generated by the overlapping of stylized profiles of different varieties of leaves for margins, geometry and size. The shapes of the different leaves emerge chromatically with the use of degrading shades.

The Design Studio ROMANI SACCANI ARCHITETTI ASSOCIATI was founded in 1999 by the professional collaboration between architects Michele Romani and Mauro Saccani. After collaborating as freelancers with some studios of Architecture of the Milanese hinterland today they are increasingly focused on the product design.
Editorial
the Foliage collection explores the dynamics of form within urban space. Stylized profiles and median veins define a new architectural perimeter, where the material contrast between textures emerges naturally against the static nature of concrete. A vibrant narrative frame, capable of transforming leaf anatomy into a sequence of graphic surfaces and saturated colors.
