Associate Professor of Industrial Product Design at IUAV University of Venice. An architect, he graduated under Vittorio Gregotti and works on design projects at different scales. His “first steps” in the field of industrial design began in Murano, in the world of blown glass, working with the Salviati glassworks. His design research explores the possibility of addressing a wide range of themes, technologies, and product typologies, from his experience with Olivetti to interface design, as well as long-term consultancy and collaborations with internationally oriented companies.
His projects have received numerous international awards and recognitions. He has been selected multiple times for the ADI Index. In 2024, he was awarded the Compasso d’Oro for Biga, a multifunctional lamp produced by Lym. Venice, where his studio is based, is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for his projects, whether they involve a small glass vase or a large-scale architectural work.
The opportunity to move across multiple dimensions of design and to collaborate with partners of different backgrounds represents a chance to experiment and to transfer technical and creative experience into projects. Innovation is not merely a slogan, but the ability to cross-pollinate and enrich the creative process in order to develop original products that incorporate solutions capable of sustaining the contemporary relevance of design, while exploring new societal needs. A founding value lies in the shared nature of the design journey, made possible by the contribution of diverse skills that may appear distant, yet are deeply complementary.
