Eclipse by Marco Lavit
Eclipse depicts a journey towards the eclipse without ever being able to reach it, floating in space. The different production techniques of the pile, from the various velvet pile lengths, the monochromatic hues and their reflection in natural light, emphasize the materiality of the carpet giving depth and solemnity to the two-dimensional geometries.
About Marco Lavit
Marco Lavit (1986) founded his architecture and design practice, Atelier LAVIT, in Paris in 2014. The humanistic approach of the studio covers a variety of projects that range from custom pieces, collectible design, product design and interior design to open air installations, private houses and eco-lodges.
